PLEASE NOTE: WE HAVE MOVED! Please visit us at 151A Armory Building, on the north side of the building next to the Einstein Bros. Bagels kiosk. We're open from 8:30 am-12 pm and 1-5 pm Monday through Friday.

Instructors can use our machine-scannable answer sheets and have them scored and analyzed at no cost. We offer three analyses: the Total Report, the Item Analysis, and the Error Report. The Total Report includes a summary of test statistics, a test frequency distribution, and a listing of students' scores. The Item Analysis includes a summary of test statistics, a test frequency distribution, a score quintile table, and item statistics. The Error report computes a test score for each student and lists the items missed with their responses and the correct answers.

Consultations and workshops on test construction and interpretation of test results are provided upon request. Exam results are securely sent back to instructors via PEAR.

To learn how to prepare exams using Scantron forms for scanning and analysis, read our Scantron Preparation for Multiple-Choice Exams document (PDF).

Alternative evaluations and assessments using scannable forms

We can assist you in setting up individualized scannable forms for specific research or evaluation purposes. Contact our office for a consultation on available options.

Research Data Scanning

If you have a research project, dissertation, or thesis that involves scannable bubble sheets, we may be able to scan your data for a small fee. We can provide a raw data file and preliminary statistical summaries if needed. Feel free to contact us to discuss the details of your project. The cost for an on-campus research project is $0.12 per Scantron sheet and $0.12 for scanning each sheet. That's a total processing cost of $0.24 per sheet. The cost for an off-campus research project is $0.15 per Scantron sheet and $0.15 for scanning each sheet. That's a total processing cost of $0.30 per sheet.
