Get Started Online
- Prior to classes beginning you will receive additional information about getting started in your online class.
- Ensure that you have the required hardware and software for your online course.
- Determine the online learning environment for your course. This environment consists of a learning management system (LMS)
that provides online access to your course syllabus, schedule,
assignments, discussion board, and grades. The University of Illinois
currently supports Illinois Compass 2G and Moodle,
depending upon your specific situation. In addition to your LMS, your
online learning environment may also include one or more tools for blogging, wiki authoring, or web conferencing.
