Online Program Timeline


Welcome to the online program timeline tool! The tool takes you through the life cycle of an online course starting from its inception to its way into production. There is a certain amount of time needed for every stage of the course's production. The roadmap below calculates the estimated time required for each of these stages based on the values you pick from the parameters in the left.
 
Start by picking the anticipated first day of your class. Based on your selections, a roadmap will be generated that will walk you through the timeline and details involved in course preparation. 

By changing the various values in the left, you can see changes in the course creation roadmap. Make adjustments as needed. When you are done making adjustments, use the button below to download a copy of the timeline to share it with your CITL contact person.

Month 7:

Approvals: Department, College , Faculty Senate
MOU drafted between CITL and Partner
Submit Subcommittee E proposal

Month 8:

Program development in progress
Put new program on Faculty Senate agenda

Month 9:

Seek approval at Faculty Senate meeting
 Develop Course Development Agreement
Approvals: Department, College , Faculty Senate

Month 10:

Sign Course Development Agreement
 
 

FIRST COHORT RUNNING

Month 18:

Finish developing onboarding
Registration: Add students to Onboarding course and send welcome letters
 Data Analytics: Develop course and program evaluation surveys

Month 19:

First course begins!

Month 21:

Faculty still teaching
Data Analytics: Deploy course surveys

Month 23:
