EPI Schedule

The EPI is administered each semester. In Fall and Spring semesters, first-time examinees are scheduled during the first half of the exam period. Those graduate students who are retaking the EPI are scheduled backwards from the end of the semester so that they have as much time as possible to finish ESL course work or tutoring.

Students should contact their departments to be registered for the EPI.

Schedule for Spring 2020

Registration is closed. The EPI schedule is full. Cancellations do occur, so departments may request that a student be placed on a wait list.

Interview dates:

February 27

March 3, 5, 10, 12, 31

April 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30

May 5

Examinees retaking the EPI will be scheduled from April 16 through May 5.

EPI location: For the remainder of the Spring 2020 Semester, the EPI will be administered online using Zoom.

On your assigned exam date/time, you can complete your EPI by computer or phone. We recommend that you use a computer, if possible.

To complete your EPI, you must have the following:

  • Webcam or build-in camera
  • Speakers or headphones
  • Microphone

Test your speakers and microphone to make sure you can hear clearly and your voice is clear and audible.

For information about using Zoom, go to https://illinois.zoom.us.

More detailed instructions for accessing the Zoom interview will be sent to examinees one week in advance of their interview.
