Audio Booth

audio booth computer and microphone

The CITL Audio Booth is the perfect space for projects that require the highest quality audio. It is ideal for audio-only voiceovers, voiceover PowerPoint or screen recordings, audio-only podcasts, and instrument recordings.

Location & Hours of operation

Literatures, Cultures, and Linguistics Building G66: Take the elevator down to the basement. As you step off the elevator, the booth is in through the small door on the wall across from the elevator.

9am - 5pm, Monday-Friday

Studio Scheduling

Illinois faculty, instructors, and TAs can reserve the Audio Booth for recordings. This space is operated by CITL staff. If you need a flexible, self-use recording space, consider using CITL’s Instructor Studio or one of the Media Commons’ Self-Use Media Studios.

To reserve the Audio Booth, please email citl-imr@illinois.edu and allow one day for our team to respond.

Best Practices

Avoid wearing loud accessories. Necklaces, earrings, and watches can produce noise during recording that may be picked up by the microphone.
