Estimating Student Workload
Use this section to estimate the time students will spend on various course activities. Consider these guidelines when estimating:
- Be realistic about the time an average student might need, not just high-achievers.
- Factor in preparation time, not just the activity duration itself.
- For readings, consider complexity and length (a general guideline: 6 pages per hour for complex material, 10-15 pages per hour for easier texts).
- Include time for reflection, review, and potential revisions in your estimates.
