Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs)
Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) represent a significant new innovation in the educational landscape. Through our partnership with Coursera, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is providing high-quality online content to engage a diverse audience and to develop and lead new approaches in online and open instruction. This website provides a critical resource to faculty and staff with a vested interest in teaching MOOCs, as well as researchers interested in learning more about data and findings related to Illinois' MOOCs.
Through our partnership with Coursera, we offer over 50 courses in topics that range from Microeconomics Principles to Global Postharvest Loss Prevention Awarding. We've awarded over 30,000 certificates of course completion. We are also offer an innovative, fully-online iMBA for a third of the cost of a traditional MBA.
