CITL Data Analytics works with undergraduate students. as interns on various data projects. Our project teams are dynamic and interdisciplinary – we recruit students from different backgrounds in order to have a more comprehensive approach to data analytics. Interns have come from a range of majors, including Sociology, Statistics, Political Science, English and Psychology. Interns are expected to work nine to twelve hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.

Projects include:
- Analyzing eText data to better understand how students interact with digital texts
- Creating survey instruments for measuring students’ study abroad experiences
- Using data visualization tools to showcase how students engage with online learning management systems
- Writing reports and researching academic literature for a variety of topics
- Experimenting with statistical models and data processing techniques
Skills required:
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience working in teams and groups
- Willingness to learn and utilize statistics and data processing techniques in an applied setting
- A great attitude!
Preferred:
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience with programming language/s
- Experience with data visualization
- Coursework in statistical methods
