Introduction to Course Design

This self-enrolled training module introduces the campus definition of teaching excellence through three core elements: clear and attainable learning objectives, student-centered assessments, and well-organized course materials. Structured around the Backward Design framework, the module includes five short lessons that guide you in aligning objectives with activities and assessments. By the end, you'll be ready to apply these principles to your own course design.

Introduction to Teaching Online

This self-enrolled training module is designed for instructors new to teaching in the online environment. It explores strategies for organizing class time, designing inclusive and equitable instruction (including Universal Design for Learning), and communicating clearly with students. You'll also learn how to implement fair course policies and meet CITL quality assurance standards. Through this short, self-enrolled module, you'll gain the tools to confidently design and deliver effective online courses.
