Course and Syllabus Templates

The course template contains a representative course module along with an accessible syllabus in Canvas page format (HTML) and an Accessible Syllabus Template in MS Word Format (.docx). The Accessible Canvas Course Template can be downloaded as a Common Cartridge file (.imscc file) and easily imported into an empty Canvas shell to create a working Canvas course template.

Accessible Canvas Template Setup

The Accessible Canvas Course Template can be downloaded as a Common Cartridge file (.imscc file) and then easily imported into an empty Canvas shell to create a working Canvas course template. Here are the three steps to do so.

Request an empty Canvas course shell using the Illinois Canvas Space Request tool.
Download the CITL Accessible Course Template.
Import the Common Cartridge file course template into the empty Canvas course shell you requested.
