Mandatory Preparation Checklist
(Must be completed for course access)

Complete each task below to ensure you have full access to all of the resources you will need even in the first few days of starting your program. Contact the Technology Services Help Desk if you have any problems with any of these tasks.

  • Claim Your NetID
Your NetID grants you access to many of the resources you will use as a student. Your first step is to claim your NetID, as many of the following steps are dependent upon having your NetID.
  • Set up your EnterpriseID
Your EnterpriseID may look the same as your NetID; however, the passwords for each of these are set separately. The EnterpriseID allows access to the statewide University of Illinois administrative system for official records in UI Integrate Self-Service, including course registration, financial aid, and billing. You will need your NetID and NetID password to set up your EnterpriseID password. Go to Enterprise Applications Self-service to set up your EnterpriseID, and follow the steps for first-time users.
  • Set Your Passwords
At the University, there are a few different passwords associated with your NetID, each granting you access to different services. Click the link above to set or reset all of your passwords.
  • Request Photoless i-Card
Your photoless i-Card allows you to borrow materials from the University Library and statewide I-Share Member Libraries.
  • Activate Your E-mail Account
You are given a free University email account. This is where all of your correspondence from the University will be sent, including email from faculty.
  • Verify access to UI-Integrate (EID password)
Click the above link to confirm you have access to UI Integrate, which is the home to your student registration, records, financial aid and accounts services. This service requires your Enterprise ID (EID) password, which is the only password not set via the Technology Services password page above. Rather, you can set your EID password when you first try to access UI-Integrate.
  • Verify access to Moodle (AD password)
You will access Moodle several times per week to participate in your course. Note that you may not have access to Moodle or to your course within Moodle until two days before your course begins. It is important to verify your access as soon as possible thereafter, however. If your password does not work, you will need to set up or change your AD password (see "Set Your Passwords" on this page).
  • Verify access to Library (AD password)
Most courses will utilize e-reserves, which are electronic copies of journal articles housed in the University Library's website. Students not physically on campus should click the above link to verify access to these e-reserves using their NetID and AD password.
