CITL Annual Celebration of College Teaching Awards

On Wednesday May 2, the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning hosted its annual Celebration of College Teaching Awards. The event included introductory remarks by the Director of CITL, Michel Bellini, followed by remarks from the Dean of the Graduate College Wojtek J. Chodzko-Zajko. There were 115 certificates handed out to 111 graduates from 39 different departments. Certificates were awarded to anyone who fulfilled the relevant requirements. Among the certificates handed out were the Graduate Teacher Certificate, the Certificate in Foundations of Teaching, the Dr.  andra J. Finley Teacher Scholar Certificate, and the Certificate in Technology-Enhanced teaching.

The event ended with a reader’s theatre presentation of stories submitted by certificate recipients about their experiences teaching at Illinois and was presented by Lucas Anderson and the CITL Grad Affiliates.

The Celebration of College Teaching Awards provides the opportunity to highlight all the work and effort our faculty and graduate students have put in throughout the year to develop their skills and truly grow in their profession.” - Lucas Anderson, Specialist in Education.
