The Center for Writing Studies will be offering a two-day introductory Writing Across the Curriculum TA seminar on January 16 and 17. This professional development seminar is a great way for TAs to learn more about teaching writing and responding to writing. Participants also receive a stipend for attending. If you're working with TAs who are teaching or will be teaching Advanced Composition, you may nominate them for participation in the seminar by emailing their names, contact information (emails), and the course(s) they will be teaching. For full consideration please send your nominations to Debbie Carrier (carrier@illinois.edu) byDecember 2. We will consider applications after this deadline on a case-by-case basis. Teaching assistants may also nominate themselves. To learn more about WAC seminars, please see theWAC Seminar Webpage.
