Latin Placement

Cutoff Scores and Placement Messages for 2009-2010

Cutoff scores and placement messages are derived in collaboration with the Classics Department and are reviewed annually. The policies below apply to all students entering UIUC in Summer 2009, Fall 2009, or Spring 2010. The online Latin Placement Exam does not award proficiency credit. Contact the Classics Department for information on taking a Latin Proficiency Exam by calling 217-333-1008 or emailing classics@illinois.edu

45 - 58 0 - 4 Placed in Latin 104
59 - 63 0 - 4 You may enroll in courses beyond the fourth semester level.
