German Placement

Cutoff Scores and Placement Messages for 2011-2012

Cutoff scores and placement messages are derived in collaboration with the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures and are reviewed annually. The policies below apply to all students entering Illinois in Summer 2011, Fall 2011, or Spring 2012.

The online German Placement Exam does not award proficiency credit.

1 If you do not already have college-level credit, you may take the German Proficiency Exam in August 2011 or January 2012 prior to enrolling in a German course.
