Advanced Graduate TA Support Program – Now Enrolling!
Are you a graduate student serving as an instructor of record (someone officially responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing a course, including assigning final grades)? Join the Advanced TA Support Program to build community, strengthen your teaching, and prepare for the academic job market.
This two-semester program offers flexible, in-person support through workshops, one-on-one consultation, and small group cohort meetings. You'll learn how to design and maintain your Canvas course, create an engaging and inclusive learning environment, and navigate difficult and sensitive discussions. Additionally, you will reflect on your teaching and develop materials like a teaching philosophy and portfolio. Graduate students who teach for two semesters and complete the program will qualify for the Graduate Teacher Certificate. Participation in the program is completely free.

A New Way to Find and Request IT Services
The Office of the CIO is pleased to share that the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign launched a new Enterprise IT Service Catalog, your one-stop location for discovering, requesting and getting help with IT services. The catalog is an online hub that brings together IT services available across the university. From getting help with your devices to requesting access to systems, tools or software, it’s all organized in one easy-to-navigate place.
You’ll be able to:
- Browse available IT services.
- Request support or access.
- Search by topic or service category.
- Find answers to common questions.
This new catalog is part of a broader effort to make campus IT services more accessible, transparent and user-friendly. No matter your role at the university, this tool is designed to help you get what you need, without having to guess whom to contact or where to start. More services will be added in the future, including non-IT offerings, to enhance a campuswide catalog that supports your day-to-day work.
