Placement into the French courses is based on the student's score on the French Placement Exam. Cutoff scores and placement messages are derived in collaboration with the French Department and are reviewed annually. The policies below apply to all students entering Illinois in Summer 2017, Fall 2017, or Spring 2018.
The online French Placement Exam does not award proficiency credit.
